Beware of the Poker Bots

Beware of the Poker Bots

The latest thorn in the sides of poker players is a thing called a Poker Bot. The Poker Bot is software technology that is designed by lazy programmer types to play never-ending games of poker online in their stead, equipped with the latest artificial intelligence.

As online poker’s popularity grows, it’s no surprise that capitalist geek bastards have decided to take a bite. Where poker was a game of skill, endurance and a little bit of luck, is now a game not even played, but programmed.

The Poker Bot, who hails as PokerSmoke even, has a Marketing Manager. Chris Spencer explains: "Poker bots are the result of technology at its best. In very simple words, poker bots are your worst enemy online. They have been called many things, money making machines being one of them. And why not? With the computer's "thinking" power behind a poker bot, it can play poker for an unlimited amount of time, making the right moves at the right time, and ending up winning a lot of money."

Thank you Chris Spencer, your optimistic opinion of disgusting dehumanisation is refreshing.

The so-called PokerSmoke has been engineered to suppress those who are not using poker bots. With high-level programming and advanced artificial intelligence, making the players behind them accumulate gross amounts of winnings. PokerSmoke has been designed to make the best possible decision at every given time, taking every situation into consideration. PokerSmoke also has an automatic function, so you never have to play poker again against opponents who aren’t there. Better still, you can bot-play several tables at once, unlimitedly.

Chris also adds "the best thing of all is this: PokerSmoke is not detectable by online poker rooms. That is right, you do not run the risk of being caught. Though technically, poker bots are not a means of cheating, some online poker rooms may ban them because they provide their users with an advantage of other players. With PokerSmoke, though, you can evade such instances thanks to its smart way of playing!"

The horrendous implications that this technology has for online poker is implicitly destructive and eventually only poker bots will be playing other poker bots. Mores so, any new player to online poker will be beaten before they start. Mr. Spencer sees these poker bots as evolution, the truth is, quite evidently, that it forecasts the end of online poker.
